Collegiate Nationals was held Oct 14-16th at the Austin Aquaplex. This was the first time since 1981 that The Waterski Team at Ohio State University qualified for nationals, and this year they brought back the Division II title!
The team recorded 19 personal bests in 30 chances; the team skied above and beyond to overcome the University of Texas and 8 other teams.
Notable finishers include:
Kyle Dammeyer - 2nd Place Slalom - 2@38 off
- 6th Place Overall
Ben Van Treese - 2nd Place Jump - 139 ft
- 3rd Place Tricks - 2040 pts
- 2nd Place Overall
Katie Mitchell - 4th Place Tricks - 820 pts
- 6th Place Overall
Jamie Zeal - 5th Place Overall
In addition Kyle Dammeyer managed to be the 2nd ever Midwest Skier to make the All-American Team by scoring as high as the top 5 skiers in Division 1. The only other skier to do this is Cale Burdick and is truly an awesome achievement.
Finally a HUGE thank you to all of our supporters and donors, we could not have done it without you.
